PAINTINGS
Bale cotton is often used as a base. On top of this paper- or silk fibres, thread materials, all sorts of textile and wax is applied, resulting in a playful combination of pleads, bulbs and applications. Sometimes the work is very minimalistic and about one single thread or one single plead on a monochrome background. Prints of manipulated photos or samples of text communicate a message, an idea or a feeling.
The last works are double panels, through which the viewer can peep, with little curtains behind which the unknown is hidden.
